Missed a few

So I have missed a few days but that doesn't mean that I haven't been looking for the positive in life.

School is starting in two days to my brain is going twenty different directions! So instead of doing school stuff I thought I would let some creative juices out and make my display boards for my bows. I was pretty impressed with how they turned out and the price. Here is how they turned out.

Day 3

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

So today is a little harder to find the positive but I know I can still!

Joys
* Lizzy running to meet my car when I picked them up from daycare

* Jenna saying she wanted to come home with me and not stay with Grandma and Papa

* Sharon telling me what a great helper Skylar was today

* being able to study the Word with my fellow teachers

Still a rough day but amazing how there is always good in our day and it makes me smile even to think about those 4 things above.

Day 2 - Positive

"Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this:" Pslam 37:5

That commit thing is part of this new me! It is amazing that in just one day of turning things over and looking at things from a different perspective that things could be so different. The girls and I had a great day! We were able to go to church and they sat and did their thing while I was able to listen, we got to hang out with my parents and their new puppy, and we cleaned the house before bed, everyone is still in their own bed. I was calm most of the day too! I feel like things are going to be better if I have the right attitude. They feed off of me and that is completely obvious to me now! I love my girls and love to be with them. I want them to look back and not see an angry yelling mommy! I think we are on the road to change that! Oh yeah, one more joy: the cool temps!!

New Perspective

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord . . .

What a comforting thought this is to know that I am not in charge of what is going to happen and that there is a plan and purpose for my life that has been set out since before I was born! Now I don't always like that I can't see what the plan is but I am starting to realize that I need to enjoy where I am in life because that is exactly where I am supposed to be to make me the person He wants me to be.

This is the start of some intentional journalling about the positive that is happening in my life. I have gotten into a rut of focusing on the negative. In a book that I just finished it talked about the scarcity mentality and that is where I have been. Focusing on why I can't do something, excuses, excuses. I have made the decision to have an abundancy outlook. I can't expect other people's lives to be mine because I am not them. So let's start!
Joys:
my three girls and the amount that I love them and they love me unconditionally!

my parents and their willingness to help me whenever I need it, even if I don't realize I need it!

my faith, it has made leaps this summer and has led me to this new outlook about my life and what I have been given.

It was a good night! The girls helped clean the house and didn't fight to go to bed! We sat and read a story. Just the 4 of us on the couch. No TV. No other noise. Just them listening to me read a story and when I stopped, they begged me to keep going. What a great night.

I love me girls!!

Completed Projects!

So I feel like I have accomplished something today. I finally finished Skylar's addition folder. She loves it! Here's to hoping it makes a difference.



I also finished the teacher gifts for August. I am ahead of the game on this one!

After completing the gifts I realized that they totally represent my kids! Funny how that worked out!

New Addiction

Thanks to my sister, I have spent more time surfing the net than ever before. I have found pinterest. It is a great site to post pictures that link to websites! I have found inspiration, ideas, and motivation through this site. I am working on two things right now. Here is the inspiration and I will post the product once they are finished.

Bedtime at our house is a nightmare right now. Everyone wants to pick their bedtime and it is not the same as what I have in mind. Skylar, who is still in school and the oldest, falls asleep the fastest. The other two not so much! They have every excuse in the book to get up! I am not sure what we will do to get them to sleep!
