Here goes my short list of favorite things under $10

This is the best things that I was ever given at a teacher conference! I have two of them because after using it once at that conference I went back for another free one. They are only around $2 at Walmart. I like to highlight as I read certain books and this is perfect for that. I am currently ready Smart Money Smart Kids by Dave Ramsey and Rachel Cruze ($9.99 Kindle edition) and as I read I bend pages back where I want to remember things and reference back. Now I can highlight what I want. I tend to get carried away with the highlighter and highlight things I didn't mean to so now I can erase what I didn't mean to highlight. You can even go back later and erase what was highlighted!

These little black earrings are super cute and go with everything. I am the kind of person who wears one pair of earrings and doesn't change very often. So these are perfect and the price is right. Normally they are $7.99 but they are on sale for $5.59 here. They remind me of the Kate Spade earrings here.

Those are my favorite things, today, under $10. One practical, one pretty, and one bonus item!

Softball

We had a great weekend!! Lizzy had her first all weekend softball tournament and Chris, good dad that he is, pitched the whole tournament. It was so exciting watching and cheering for her and her team. It was a great group of girls. They are so innocent because they really didn't care if they won or lost as long as they got to play!!! A lot of giggles were heard from the dugout. They learned so much in three days!!
Lizzy got a hit when the team needed it! I was a very proud momma!!!

To top the weekend off the message at church was great!! It was all about not being able to take it all with you. What a great reminder that God gives you what you need when you need it, and we are just managers of the gifts he blesses us with.

I have only one this week and it is my God! It was a rough week as a mom and it was so comforting knowing that I have a God that will love me  and welcome me with open arms no matter how rough the day was!!! Some of those comforting words from His love letter to me popped in my head this week at a much needed moment.

That is my favorite today!!

Our Summer Vacation

Because I am a teacher, I treasure my summers! They are used for many things! The best part is having more time with my girls. Here is a peek at what we have done this summer.

There is what we have been up to. We are now going to try and smash a lot into the last few weeks that we have before school starts! Have a wonderful Wednesday!!!

Terrific Tuesday

So, today is Tuesday and I have decided to find the joy in the day and what made my life terrific this past week! So, every Tuesday I am going to look for three things that make my life terrific!! Here we go!!!!

#1 Diet Coke

I live on Diet Coke! It is what gets me through the day. Best way to have one is out of a bottle or from McDonald's. It takes me to my happy place and makes me smile. I love the new campaign with the names on the bottles. My girls get so excited when they see a name they know! Smart marketing!!!!

#2 My family

I have two wonderful sisters and parents that are fabulous! We have so much fun when we are all together. The cousins play great together and can't seem to get enough time together! I am blessed with this family!

#3 Havaianas

These make my feet happy!!! I love flip flops and these are my favorites!!

Friday Favorites

I was doing my morning dose of blog readin' and I ran across two of my favorite blogs, A Little Bit of Everything and Mix and Match Momma, doing this great series.

So I decided that I wanted to focus on the good in my life and join the fun!

One and Two - the beach and my family

To have these two things together makes my heart happy. It is the place were we spend a lot of time as a family just playing and enjoying the sun, sand, and water. The minute we arrive I am instantly calmer and happier. These four people are my life!!!! This picture shows their personalities to a "T". Skylar has the same expression in every shot from this point. Jenna is being silly. Lizzy is holding on tight to her family! I love them more than I can ever express. We love the beach!!!! It makes me smile just writing this and looking at the photo.

I AM BLESSED!!!!!!

Daily Organization

I have learned that in order for me to get anything accomplished I have to make a list. I have also realized that I love pretty notepads and pens. Here is the assortment of pens I have just in my purse.
