New Addiction

Thanks to my sister, I have spent more time surfing the net than ever before. I have found pinterest. It is a great site to post pictures that link to websites! I have found inspiration, ideas, and motivation through this site. I am working on two things right now. Here is the inspiration and I will post the product once they are finished.

Bedtime

Bedtime at our house is a nightmare right now. Everyone wants to pick their bedtime and it is not the same as what I have in mind. Skylar, who is still in school and the oldest, falls asleep the fastest. The other two not so much! They have every excuse in the book to get up! I am not sure what we will do to get them to sleep!

So long

I want to keep my thoughts about my kids here. So here goes Day 1.

It was a rough day at our house today. I find myself yelling a lot at the girls to clean, get along, or just about anything. We started the morning good with getting ready for church and Chris taking them so I could clean, not the best example but sometimes you have to do what you have to do. Then lunch and a little bit of room cleaning. They hate this and we can not seem to find anything that works except yelling and punishment. Then we went to the Tin Caps game. It was hot and this is where it went downhill quickly. All we heard was "I'm thirsty. I'm hungry. I'm hot." Then the car ride was worse. She touched me, etc. I wanted to scream and I think I did. I hate yelling at them but my frustration takes over and I yell. We are going on vacation in a couple of weeks and I am concerned about the whining that will happen and the short tempers that will happen with Chris and I.

Cleaning

I am in the cleaning mode! That means things are getting sorted and purged. I have already gone through the girls toys and now I have to figure out what to do with what we are getting rid of. I was going to save it to have a garage sale but I think it is all going to Goodwill tomorrow. I am hoping to make life a little more simple by purging the things we don't need or use. I am beginning to think that a cluttered house is a cluttered mind! Here are some of the before pictures of the clutter that is our house! Mother of Four

I am soon going to become a mother of four! No we are not having another child or adopting. We are going to be welcoming my cousin to come stay with us for about 4 weeks. We are so excited to have her come stay with us. My girls can't wait to have her here. I am excited to have the chance to get to know her better! I am also a little nervous to have her stay with us. We are not very exciting people. We don't do much in the way of creative and exciting things. What if she is completely bored and wants to go home? I just pray that she enjoys herself and wants to come back next summer.

I am so in awe of one of my friends. She and her husband are right now getting to meet their daughter for the first time. They are in South Korea adopting her. She has been an inspiration to me. She makes me want to be the best mother and person that I can possibly be. I only hope and pray that I can be half the person and mother that she is! Thank you Jill for that inspiration!

These three are why I want to be a better person!

The Beach

We just got back from a week at the beach with my whole family!! What a great time! We were able to swim and build sand castles and just relax. I think this was the best vacation that I have ever had. I am not sure if it was the beach or the family or both. We took so many pictures and created so many memories I can't even begin to write them all down!! It was a great gift from my parents and one that we will remember always. Thanks Mom and Dad!

More Summer

We have done some more things this summer. Sklyar has been part of Daisy's and she got the opportunity to go to the Tin Caps game and then we were going to spend the night but there was a tornado warning. Here are some photos from the game!
