Thoughts!

Some thoughts as I sit here and look out the window at the beautiful sun shining.
* be thankful for what you have today because it might change tomorrow
* love your children for who they are and not what you want them to be
* what you choose to spend your time on shows your priorities in life
* become involved in something just for you
* support those things that are important to you
* take time to enjoy your life that you have worked to hard to create

Have a wonderful Friday and for those that the sun is shining on today enjoy it!!!

Long Time

It has been a long since I posted anything! Life has been busy, as usual. The girls are growing at a really fast rate. It is crazy to think we are already looking to summer and the family vacation we have planned! The girls are excited and so are the parents. Since Christmas we have been blessed with the Harter's coming to town to have little Lillian baptized. I was especially blessed to be a godparent and to have one of my other godchildren be a godparent with me! What a blessing to be able to help guide a child to be closer to God!

Christmas

Christmas is always a time for family. We had the added bonus this year of going to see Jen & Gage and meet little Lillian. Skylar was so excited to see her and she did not disappoint when she first got to see her. We spent a week out in Richmond and the girls all got a lot of time to play together. We had a blessed Christmas full of family time and presents. We now have more toys than we know what to do with but that is a sign that my children are loved by many people!

As I sat at thought about the new year and what I wanted it to hold, there was a flood of things that came to mind. Then I had that overwhelming feeling that I get a lot when I try to get a lot accomplished. There are so many things that I want this year to hold for myself and my family! I realized that the only way to start was to turn everything over to God and spend more time with Him and everything else will fall into place. With His help I can accomplish many things that I would not be able to on my own!

I pray that each of you reading this will find that peace that I am searching for! Have a wonderful 2010!!!!

Annual Christmas Project

Skylar found what she wanted to make this year in one of my magazines. We had to go and look for the right glitter and stars. Now we are in the process of painting the trees. Well as soon as Lizzy heard we were painting she wanted to paint too. So we got some more sticks out and she got to paint, and of course there is red on her trees. Her favorite color is red and if there is a chance something can be red it will be! Here is what the project looks like so far!
We have also made a gingerbread house and also some pretzel snowman for Lizzy's snacks!

Lizzy's ideas about snow.

Chris picked her up today and was telling me that they were going to stop at the store. I wasn't sure what he thought we needed. I asked what they were getting and he replied snow. I was a tad confused. He then told me that Lizzy told him they needed to stop at the store to get snow because we did not have enough. Funny how she thinks we can buy anything at the store.
